Directly reporting to: Director of Marketing & Sponsorship
Job Purpose: To support and Fund events and Festival by preparing and implementing all sponsorship activities including selling sponsorship deals, preparing contract agreement with sponsors, studying and negotiating sponsorship proposals and liaising with the legal team and managing all the day to day communication with sponsors
Principal Accountabilities / Key Result Areas:
It is crucial you understand how to calculate ROI for each event and keep a close eye on budgets.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling a range of events and sponsorship activities for the company. You will develop and drive the growth of sponsorship events.
Assisting the Director Marketing & Sponsorship with the development of strategy for sponsorship
Develop and manage Sponsor plan incorporating fundraising and in-kind targets, levels and types of partnerships and a program of Official Suppliers linked to the overall Events Plan.
Develop and structure Sponsorship packages
Identify and develop leads to source support (cash and budget relieving in-kind support) from sponsor and suppliers. Targets to include local, regional and international businesses and organisations.
Manage the relationships between existing and potential Sponsors including the contractual arrangements, the obtainment and distribution of all partner branding and other required details, the facilitation of leveraging opportunities and other beneficial and negotiated outcomes for sponsors
Liaise with the Finance and legal department to ensure invoices, contracts and other requirements with Sponsors are implemented in accordance with negotiated arrangements.
Prepare and distribute an information kit for organisations and individuals as required
Examine with events marketing, operational staff to ensure the inclusion of partner requirements at the events site and other negotiated locations, and ensure all partner requirements are met during the Festival including appropriate site allocations, signage and other levels of recognition and support.
Develop and manage relevant policies and procedures relating to event Sponsors in conjunction with the Marketing Director and Management team, and contribute to the strategic planning and evaluation of the Event.
Present reports on a regular basis for the Director of Marketing & Sponsorship, ensure all relevant parties are informed of all partnership.
Implement systems and procedures to evaluate the Sponsor Program. Produce and distribute post event reports to all Sponsors, and ensure all acknowledgements of the support are included in post event documentation and communications
Be Able to remain up to date with trends and developments in with in the industry, particularly relating to event sponsorships, funding and in-kind support
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies:
Qualification: Bachelors / Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in sales and client servicing
Proven experience and skills in sales, sponsorship acquisition and the obtainment of funding
